Dholera International Airport


Dholera International Airport is the first greenfield airport in India. India is driven by the average growth rate of 7 to 8 percent over the last decade and 350 million strong and growing middle class with increasing purchasing power. Dholera International Airport Company has obtained necessary approvals such as environment clearance in-principle approval etc from the Government of India. Dholera airport project has been declared as an early bird project jointly by the department of industrial policy and promotion DMICTC and the government of Gujarat. The airport is strategically located amongst the big cities of the state Dholera airport will be well connected via Express Highway and Metro Railway. 1426 hectares of government land has been reserved at Navagam village of Dholera Smart City in Ahmadabad district. The measurement and demarcation of the site are carried out by the district inspector of land records Ahmadabad. The site can accommodate two runways of 2910 meters and 4000 meters with parallel taxiways. Airport Authority of India has prepared the feasibility report detailed project report and environmental impact assessment. Japan's international cooperation agency has also prepared and submitted a detailed project survey independently. DELHI-MUMBAI INDUSTRIAL CORRIDOR CORPORATION  LIMITED. has an equity stake in Dholera International Airport Company Limited. The project will be developed in PPP mode adhering to the guidelines of the Greenfield Airport policy. Dholera International Airport Company Limited is also planning for an aviation zone and MRO hub. In the address of government land parcel available adding components like the use of renewable sources of energy like solar park implementing green infrastructure and adopting sustainable best practices will make Dholera Airport and carbon credit.

Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC)




Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor is a project between India’s financial capital Mumbai and Capital Delhi. Japan and India’s Governments signed the MOU of DMIC Project in December 2006. The cost of the project is $90 billion and it is the largest infrastructure project in the world. Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project developed across six states of India.

Total 24 Industrial Zone, Five power Projects, two logistics hubs, two international airport, eight smart cities, and two mass rapid transit systems are being developed.

In Phase one of DMIC Project following investment region is to be developed


1.   Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad in Utter Pradesh
2.   Manesar-Bawal in Haryana
3.   Khushkhera-Bhiwadi-Neemrana-Jodhpur-Pali-Marwar in Rajasthan
4.   Pithampar-Dhar in Madhya Pradesh
5.   Ahmedabad-Dholera Special Investment Region in Gujarat
6.   Aurangabad Industrial City
7.   Dighi Port Industrial Area in Maharastra

The DMIC Project will be funded through the PPP model. Foreign investment is also entertained. Japan is the major investor of this project. Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation looks after this project.
